My friends, Britt and Brendan got married on a sunny July afternoon in Peterborough, Ontario. I’ve known them for a long time, so I was honoured when they asked me to photograph their wedding. They had an intimate outdoor gathering with their closest friends and family. Britt wore a beautiful backless wedding dress with elegant lace panels. Brendan layered his timeless black suit with a black shirt and black bowtie which made his patterned pocket square and white boutonnière pop. As the ceremony began, everyone stood. They had a backdrop of deep green cedar for their wedding ceremony. It was intimate and emotional, and followed by lots of hugging as everyone congratulated the couple.
They had their reception inside. There was lots of laughter and amazing food. I borrowed the bride and groom at sunset, and we snuck away to take couples portraits outside, surrounded by the lush garden. They shared their first dance outside and then everyone moved inside after the sun went down and the party lit up. This was a particularly fun dance floor to get down on!
As a wedding photographer, I love photographing meaningful moments that naturally occur at weddings. I also love capturing editorial style portraits. I’m based in Peterborough, but I often photograph weddings in Prince Edward County and in the Greater Toronto Area. If you’re looking for a wedding photographer in Southern Ontario, please reach out to discuss if we’ll be a good fit for each other!
